Tarn Taran police seizes huge quantity of ‘lahan’, illicit liquor -SSP

Tarn Taran police today got a huge success in its “crackdown mission” against the drug peddlers in the district, under the command of its SSP Dhruman H Nimbale IPS, when they seize a huge quantity of Lahan ((spurious liquor) and illicit liquor, registered cases and arrested the accused.
Nimbale disclosed that “ on a tipoff Tarn Taran police in a joint operation with state excise department, seized 34320 kg “lahan” and 4,29,000 Ml illicit liquor. The team comprising ETO Navjot Bharti, excise inspector Jatinder Singh, Amrik Singh, Parshottam Pathinia, DSP Iqbal Singh (PPS), SHO Sarai Imanat Khan along with police party did a search operation in village Cheema.”
Nimbale further informed that “4 FIR’s were registered under Sections 61, 1 and 14 of the Excise Act against Mukhtiar Singh, Manpreet Singh, Sukhbinder Kaur, Pritam Singh, Nirmal Singh, Shamsher Singh alias Sheera, Jasbinder Singh at Sarai Imanat Khan police station and recovered lahan and illicit liquor. Three accused were arrested and police is searching for the remaining accused.”
