Ajit Nagar, colony Patiala residents, held a meeting to discuss several issues affecting the surrounding areas. They unanimously applauded the efforts of Patiala MLA Ajit Pal Singh Kohli, traffic police, district administration, and municipal corporation for shifting rehris from New Leela Bhawan, Income Tax Road, to Polo Ground.

The rehris of New Leela Bhawan, Patiala, createda considerable nuisance for the residents of nearby colonies like Ajit Nagar, Bank Colony, Dhaliwal colonies, etc. However, it is apprehended by the residents that this stern action is just for a short period before the upcoming local bodies elections and is not permanent.

Senior Advocate K.K Vohra identified dreadful law and order situation in the colony due to young boys and girls residing in this locality as Paying Guests. Youngsters are coming for IELTS training and staying as Paying Guests in large numbers in rental accommodations. Their indiscipline and careless behaviour are haunting many senior citizens in the locality.

Recently, themain roads have been dug up in Ajit Nagar, Hira Nagar, etc.,to install pipes for the 24×7 canal water supply project. Businessmen Mohit Jindal and Kapil Gupta claimed that portions of the dug-up roads would have to remain in such a condition for some time, which can lead to accidents. The probability of such incidents is higher due to schools situated on the same road.
