Three days The 31^st Col Frank Von Goldstein debate to start at YPS, Patiala

The 31^ST Col Frank Von Goldstein debate will commence at YPS, Patiala, tomorrow. As many as 14 teams from leading schools are going to participate in this prestigious debate, which was initiated in 1989 in the honour of Col Frank Von Goldstein (former Headmaster and iconic figure of the School). The debate will be held from May 9^th till May 11^th.

The purpose of organising this debate every year is to pay tribute to Col Frank Von Goldstein, who inspired the students to enhance their debating skills. The following are the participant Schools:

1. Armed Forces Preparatory Institute, Mohali
2. Army Public School, Ambala Cantt
3. Army Public School, Dagshai
4. Bhawan Vidyalaya, Sec 27 B, Chandigarh
5. Bishop Cotton School, Shimla
6. General Gurnam Singh Public School, Sangrur
7. Modi School, Sikar
8. Pinegrove School, Dharampur
9. Punjab Public School, Nabha
10. The British Co-Ed School, Patiala
11. The Mann Public School, Delhi
12. Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun
13. Yadavindra Public School, Mohali
14. Yadavindra Public School, Patiala

These debates will be held in a modified parliamentary/Cambridge form. Different topics will be given to the teams. A panel of eminent judges are invited to judge this 3-days battle of words. The teams will be selected by the draw of lots.
