A grand launch event for the book ‘Tilak Janjhu Ka Rakha (Life of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib)’, authored by Dr. Iqbal Singh Lalpura—former Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, Member of BJP’s Parliamentary Board, and a renowned Sikh scholar—was held today at New Delhi. This historic book is dedicated to the life, teachings, and supreme sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and was published to commemorate his martyrdom anniversary.

The chief guests at the event were the Union Minister for Law & Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra. Both leaders praised Dr. Lalpura’s deep dedication to Sikhism and his academic contributions. They emphasized that this book is a significant document that inspires society to return to spiritual and moral values in today’s times.

Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said: “The life of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji stands as a symbol of sacrifice, penance, and unwavering courage for the protection of humanity. He gave his life in defense of faith and truth, spreading the message of unity, tolerance, and compassion. His commitment to preserving and promoting Sikh history is unparalleled. Such books enlighten society and connect future generations to the rich legacy of our great Gurus. The event was organized by the Global Punjabi Association (GPA) and witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests from across the country. Dr. Lalpura’s son, Ajayvir Singh Lalpura—President of BJP District Ropar and Director of World Cancer Care India—along with Dr. Lalpura’s wife Hardeep Kaur Lalpura, Jasmeen Kaur Lalpura, and Jeenia Lalpura, warmly welcomed the attendees and shared how Dr. Lalpura’s work continues to inspire both society and the youth.

Dr. Iqbal Singh Lalpura has authored over 600 research articles and more than 25 books. His writings on Sikh history and philosophy are highly respected among scholars, researchers, and readers. ‘Tilak Janjhu Rakha Prabha Taka’ holds a distinguished place among his works.

The organizing efforts of GPA members—Charanjit Singh Lally, Parvinder Singh, Ruby Binder, Sagar Mehra, Ishpreet Singh Ranjit, Varun Gulati, and Advocate Raghumnayu Taneja—were instrumental in the successful execution of this grand event.
