Today, BBMB to release water from Pong dam

Today, Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) is going to release water from the Pong Dam at 4:00 pm
Senior Design Engineer, Water Regulations Cell, BBMB, Talwara Township has written a letter to the deputy commissioner Kangra at Dharamshala and SDMs of Fatehpur, Dehra Gopipur, Indora, Jawali, Nurpur along with other officers to take necessary actions.
On the condition of anonymity, a Punjab water resources department officer said “ the pong dam is situated on the border of Punjab just upstream of Talwara in Hoshiarpur district and Himachal Pradesh. If the water is released from the Pong dam, that will enter Punjab in few minutes and will enter in Beas river. It will pass through Jalandhar and will reach Harike Barrage”
