Top 22 IPS officers transferred in Punjab; a ADGP gets posting after 10 months; blue eyed officer get field posting

Punjab government has issued a transfer orders of 22 IPS officers of Punjab Police.
Naunihal Singh, IPS, ADGP gets a posting after 10 months. He was transferred in November 2023 when he was posted as commissioner of police Amritsar. Today he is posted as ADGP Internal Vigilance Cell, Punjab after 10 months.
One SSP is also transferred in today’s reshuffling. Seven SSPs who are recently promoted as DIGs also get posting orders.
Once again, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, who is a blue eyed police officer of all political parties, officers get posting order as Commissioner of Police, Amritsar. He was transferred after around 7 months in June 2024 and later was posted as IGP Provisioning Punjab, Chandigarh in August 2024. Since his induction into the Punjab police he always remained on key posts of senior superintendent of police (SSP) in every successive government, be it akali dal or congress. After promotion he remained posted in field as DIG , commissioner of police, inspector general even in aam admi party’s government. But, in June 2024, for the first time in his career he remained without posting for few days and now he is posted in an office not in the field as IGP Provisioning, Punjab in AAP govt. tenure
