Transfers: Bedi is chief engineer mining; 6 chief engineers of water resources department transferred

Punjab government has issued transfer orders of 6 chief engineers of water resources department (earlier irrigation department).
Two SEs who are recently promoted as chief engineers has also got posting orders.
The state has got new chief engineer mining. The state government has appointed Dr Harinder Pal Singh Bedi as the new chief engineer Drainage and Mining.
Bedi, who is the youngest chief engineer has an impeccable career. He has done his doctorate in Interpretation of Indus Water Treaty and International Riparian Law) from Chandigarh University SAS Nagar Mohali, in December 2022. He has in his credit for publishing three papers in international journals so far: a) status quo or different canal system of Punjab India et. 2021, IOP conference series earth and Environment science 889 012063. b) Overview of various factors impacting the distribution of river water of Punjab, India, et 2021, IOP conference series, Earth and environment science 889 012179 c) distribution Indus River Water: background and need of re-evaluation et 2022 (under review ). He was Gold medalist in B.Tech Civil Engineering from prestigious institute NIT, Jalandhar . He is also the topper of the PPSC’s 1999 batch.
