TSPL Extends Nutrition support to TB Patients in Civil Hospital, Mansa

Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), the largest thermal power plant in Punjab has supported the district health department Mansa under the ‘Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat’ with nutrition kits for TB infected patients. For this Initiative TSPL partnered with the Kalinga Bharti Foundation (a Delhi based NGO) to provide essential nutrition kits to tuberculosis (TB) infected patients aiming to support the nutritional needs of individuals undergoing treatment for TB. 150 kits were provided toTB infected patients in the presence of Dr. Ranjit Singh Rai, Civil Surgeon Mansa and other senior doctors.
Tuberculosis continues to be a significant health concern globally, affecting millions of people each year. Recognizing the importance of nutrition in combating this disease, TSPL and the Kalinga Bharti Foundation collaborated to provide much-needed assistance to TB patients in the Mansa region.
The nutrition kits contain a range of essential food items carefully selected to meet the dietary requirements of TB patients. These kits aim to supplement the patients’ diets, ensuring they receive the necessary nutrients to support their recovery and overall well-being.
“We are fully dedicated to enhancing living standards and ensuring access to quality healthcare services for the communities in our vicinity. We believe that the distribution of these nutrition kits to the TB patients will serve as a valuable complement to their treatment, aiding in their swift recovery and promoting overall well-being,” asserts Pankaj Sharma, COO of TSPL.
Dr. Ranjit Singh Rai, Civil Surgeon, Mansa, appreciated the initiative and remarked, “We are grateful to TSPL for this thoughtful gesture of supporting TB patients in our community. The provision of nutrition kits is a vital step towards addressing the holistic needs of patients and ensuring their well-being during treatment.”
