TSPL starts Power production for Paddy Sowing

Talwandi Sabo Power Plant (TSPL), the largest thermal power plant in Punjab situated at village Banawala in Mansa district, has informed that it will produce maximum power to Punjab during this paddy season. 10 June onwards farmers are being supplied with 8 hours of regular power to operate agricultural motors and it has been reported that TSPL has produced 1076 MW power . The three units of the thermal power plant are currently in operation and their total capacity is said to be 1980 MW.
The details received revealed that Talwandi Sabo Power Plant in the district is currently supplying 1076 MW of power, of which Unit No. 1 has produced 400 MW, Unit No. 2 has produced 356 MW and Unit No. 3 has produced 320 MW.

TSPL CEO and WTD Vikas Sharma said that ,” TSPL is committed to produce required power as per the demand of Punjab Government, we will ensure uninterrupted supply to the farmers during this most crucial period of paddy sowing so that the state continues to make a valuable contribution to the country’s rice reserves.
