Twelve Students of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Qualify UGC-NET

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, proudly celebrated the achievement of twelve students who have successfully qualified the prestigious University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET). This remarkable accomplishment reflects the University’s steadfast commitment to academic excellence and research-oriented education. Among the qualified candidates are Parneet Kaur, Muskan and Hardeep Kaur the students of English Department; Rashpreet Kaur, Randeep Kaur, Navneet Kaur, and Sukhamdeep Kaur from the Department of Commerce and Management;  Jashanpreet Kaur and Harshdeep Kaur from the department of Education;

Amandeep Kaur from the Department of Political Science ; Eakpreet kaur from the department of religious studies; and Rajdeep Kaur from the department of Computer Science and Engineering.

To mark the occasion, the University organized a felicitation ceremony, where Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Prit Pal Singh congratulated the achievers for their hard work, dedication, and perseverance. He commended the Head of the concerned Departments Dr. Harneet Billing (Education), Dr. Ankdeep Kaur Attwal (English), Dr. Sarpreet Singh (Computer Science and Engineering), Dr. Hardev Singh (Religious Studies) and Ms. Ramandeep Kaur (Political Science) as well as the faculty members for their constant guidance and mentorship, emphasizing that such accomplishments underscore the University’s focus on quality teaching and the holistic development of students. He added that this milestone not only highlights the calibre of the students but also enhances the institution’s reputation for producing competent and research-ready graduates.

Prof. (Dr.) Sukhwinder Singh Billing, Dean Academic Affairs, conveyed his best wishes to the students for their future endeavours. He expressed his delight that all the achievers are girls, noting that this reflects both the healthy and empowering environment within the University and a positive change in society. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to nurturing talent and encouraging scholarly pursuits.

The successful candidates expressed their gratitude to the University for providing an enabling academic environment, state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities that inspired them to excel. Dr. Nav Shagan Deep Kaur, Head Department of Sociology and Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Tiwana, Assistant Professor of Education also graced the occasion.
