Two-day Hola Mahalla Nihang Olympics Heritage Games culminates at Charan Ganga Stadium

District administration in collaboration with the tourism department organised the two day Hola Mohalla Nihang Olympics at Charan Ganga which has been successfully completed here today. Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice Harpreet Kaur Jeewan attended closing ceremony as a Chief guest.
Tent Pegging, Archery, Gatka, Kweshri, Dhadi waar, turban tying competitions become the center of attraction for audiences. Adventure sports such as hot air balloon, water body and paddle boating also remained attraction at the Olympic. Punjab’s heritage craft fair which depicting the rich heritage and culture of Punjab also appreciated by public.
The paramount arrangements for first of its kind initiative was made under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav and SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana. Hola Mahalla Nihang Olympics 2024 was inaugurated on March 21 by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav.
Winning participants of Gatka, turban tying and tent pegging were honoured by Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice Harpreet Kaur Jeewan. Considering the upcoming MP election, SVEEP activists were also done to motivate the voter to ensure to cast their votes and cultural activities were presented by students of Government College Ropar and various schools as well.
