Two Day Principal’s Workshop concluded at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib organised a two-day principal’s workshop in collaboration with the Directorate of Education for SGPC schools. The workshop aimed to enhance the leadership skills of school principals and reinforce Sikh values and ethos within their institutions.
The workshop was inaugurated by Er. Sukhminder Singh, Secretary Education (SGPC). In his address, he emphasized the importance of integrating Sikh values and ethos into the school culture and curricula. He encouraged the principals to work diligently towards this goal, underscoring the vital role they play in shaping the future of their students and preserving Sikh heritage.
Dr. Gurvinder Singh from Simon Fraser University in his address focused on leadership and innovation in education. He inspired the audience with strategies to foster a progressive and dynamic learning environment. Dr. Gurvinder Singh’s insights were well-received, providing the principals with valuable perspectives on effective school management and student engagement.
Prof. Pritpal Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University shared his thoughts on the importance of positive thinking. He discussed how a positive mindset can significantly impact the overall school environment, influencing both staff and students’ attitudes and performances.
Dr. Chamkaur Singh, Director Panth Ratan Gurcharan Singh Tohra Institute, Patiala delivered a talk on the significance of Gurmukhi education. He stressed the role of Gurmukhi in preserving and promoting the Punjabi language and Sikh heritage. His session provided the principals with practical approaches to integrate Gurmukhi education into their schools, ensuring that students remain connected to their cultural and linguistic roots.
