UN Day-home ministry issues order to flow UN flag along with National flag

Union home ministry has issue an order to all the chief secretaries, administrators all state governments/ UT administrators , central govt ministries etc to flow United Nation Flag on the United Nations Day, to be celebrated on October 24.
As per the orders issued by deputy secretary, home ministry, Govt of India, “ on this day , the United Nations Flag is flown along with the Indian National Flag on all buildings, on which the National Flag is regularly flown in the states/ Union Territories. The United Nations Flag is, however NOT flown on Raj Bhawans/ Raj Niwases and buildings housing Legislative and High courts.’
Every year 24th October is observed as the United Nations Day. On this day, the United Nations Flag is flown along with the National Flag on all buildings on which the Indian National Flag is regularly flown.
Also, the United Nations Flag is not flown on Rashtrapati Bhawan, Vice-President’s House, Parliament House and Supreme Court building.
