“UTPRAVAN”- Police DAV Patiala celebrates annual function with great pomp and show

Police DAV Public School Patiala organised its Annual Function with great zeal and enthusiasm . A galaxy of dignitaries graced the occasion .

Esteemed personality  Sanjeev Kalra (IPS)DGP, Punjab Home Guards and Chairman of Police DAV Public School Patiala was the Chief guest of the occasion.   R C Jeevan , Vice Chairman of Police DAV Public School Patiala was the guest of honour.  Dr Rashmi Vij, Manager of the school and Principal of Police DAV Public school Jalandhar also showed her eminent presence.
The school principal Mohit Chug, welcomed the chief guest  and other dignitaries through a welcome note and  presented saplings to them.

Commencing on devotional note, The celebration embraced various facets of society and culture.The function named UTPRAVAN  included a series of thematic performances ranging from devotion to family values, patriotism, religion, parental love, social issues and many more. Anuual report of the session was also read by the Principal escorted by Head girl and Deputy Head girl of the school.The precious words of advice and appreciation by the chief guest during an address captivated the audience. Kalra encouraged the students with his words of wisdom by visiting the different Tableaus set up on Famous personalities, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Financial Literacy, etc. He praised their efforts and hardwork in shaping and presenting their creative ideas so well.

The programme commenced on a spiritual note with lighting of the lamp ceremony. The theme of the function was advancement in technology and it’s impact on people. The school choir presented songs and were praised for their efforts. The tiny tots mesmerized everyone with their dance performances exhibiting their dancing skills and foot tapping numbers.

An English Play was  presented to show the repercussions of social media platforms on children. A Punjabi play was also staged wherein students depicted how the excessive usage of mobile phones can ruin family life.
Jindua and Bhangra made the ambience musical . The last item was Gidda by the school girls which raised everyone from their seats and the audience was stunned by their performance.
Honouring and appreciating the achievers with accolades, Annual Prize Distribution Function for session 2021-22 was held with great zeal and fervour.

Annual report of the session was also released and read by Honourable Principal .The most memorable moments of the function were marked by the precious words of advice and appreciation by the chief guest in his address to the parents. He applauded the efforts of the students and teachers in putting up a great show. He further added that such events leave an everlasting impression on our minds and are worth reminiscing throughout life. Students must utilise their glorious years in sharpening their skills and displaying their creative side. They should shed their inhibitions and participate wholeheartedly in all school activities.He also appreciated the enactment of the script which showcased the concern over usage of social media and it’s repercussions.

Kalra, the chief guest, addressed the audience and congratulated the school team for their sincere hardwork in making the event a stupendous success. He urged parents to encourage their wards to participate in all activities of the school whole heartedly.

Overall, the celebrations concluded on a happy note encouraging the students to establish further milestones in the journey of their lives. Speaking on the occasion, The Principal  Chug thanked the chief guest and the audience. He was superlative in his appreciation for the painstaking efforts put in by the teachers and the students in making the event a mammoth success. The students expressed their deep sense of gratitude towards their teachers and it brought a curtain down on the event.
