Punjabi University Patiala is one of the premier institutions of higher learning. Alongwith making seminal contribution towards the development of Punjabi language, literature, art and culture, the University has emerged as a keen player in other disciplines also. Being a dynamic institution it has a strong tradition of revising curricula on regular basis, introducing sunrise courses alongwith consolidating of traditional courses. The University has more than 65 teaching and research departments having nearly 15000 students including 878 students doing Ph.D on its rolls. At present University is offering admissions in engineering and technology, business studies, life sciences, physical sciences, medicine, law, social sciences, languages, education, information sciences, and arts and culture.
