Vice Chancellor of Punjabi University bereaved

Dr Harsaran Singh, father of Prof Arvind, vice chancellor Punjabi University passed away today early morning.
Born in August 1926 at Layalpur Chak Number 73, Jhabbal remained a student of Khalsa College, Amritsar from where he did his B.Sc. After that he did MBBS from Govt Medical College, Amritsar.
He remained associated with All India Students Federation (AISF) and remained state president of the youth wing. For a short period he remained in govt service and later on left the govt job and started his own practices. Dr Harsaran Singh, 96 + a year old was a doctor by profession. He remained popular as a people’s doctor, wherever he had served during his life.
His cremation will be held today at 3 pm at his native village Ekal Gadda in Tarn Taran district.
Bhog and Antim Ardas will be held at 1 PM on January 4,2023 at his native village Ekal Gadda, district Tarn Taran.
