Khalsa College Patiala student brought laurels; becomes the first Indian woman to win medal

Pooja, a student of M Com I of Khalsa College Patiala has  brought laurels to the college and India by winning a silver medal in the individual category during the World Para Archery Championships held in Dubai. By achieving this, Pooja became the first Indian woman to win a silver medal in the individual event at the World Para Archery Championships as well as a bronze medal in the team event.

On this occasion Harjinder Singh Dhami, President Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Sri Amritsar Sahib, while congratulating Dr Dharminder Singh Ubha, said that it was a great honor for the educational institutes run by the SGPC that their students are winning at the world level.

Sukhminder Singh, Education Secretary, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, congratulated all the staff members of the college on this occasion and said that our students are excelling in their studies as well as in the field of sport .

Surjit Singh Rakhra, Honorary Secretary College Governing Body and former Minister Punjab Government,  congratulated Pooja and his family as well as the principal and staff of the college.

Khalsa College Patiala student brought laurels; becomes the first Indian woman to win medal. Dr.  Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal while expressing happiness over this achievement of the student of the college, said that Khalsa College always strives to build the multi-faceted personality of its student They are making great strides not only at national level but also at the international level.  On this occasion he congratulated the Director Sports Punjabi University Patiala, Dr.Gurdeep Kaur.

Dr.  Gursharan Singh Gill, Head, Department of Physical Education, Khalsa College, Patiala, congratulated the coach  Surinder Singh and said that as a result of good training and continuous hard work, the college student has succeeded in achieving this great achievement.
