Vigilance enquiry recomended against Mohindra College Principal
Patiala– SDM Patiala, enquiry officer probing the charges leveled against Govt. Mohindra College Principal Sangeeta Handa recommended a vigilance or departmental enquiry against her.
Deputy Commissioner Patiala ordered an enquiry against Govt. Mohindra College Principal Sangeeta Handa after he received a series of complaint regarding misappropriation of funds, giving benefits to her relatives etc. He marked the complaint to SDM Patiala.
SDM Patiala in his report submitted to Deputy Commissioner Patiala stated that after receiving complaint he called the complainant and the Principal to his office on June 25th 2018 . Complainant came but Principal Sangeeta Handa didn’t turn up.
Again on July 10th 2018 both the complainant and the Principal were asked to present themselves in his office to enquire and to hear them. On this date once again Principal Sangeeta Handa failed to attend the enquiry. But a Junior Assistant Balvir Singh from Govt Mohindra College came on her behalf. Balvir Singh were told to bring the Cash Book, record for opening a new account along with Principal Sangeeta Handa version on July 2oth 2018.
On july 20th neither Principal turned up nor submitted her version. Instead Junior Assistant Balvir Singh from Govt Mohindra College informed that “madam is on leave “He submitted the leave of Sangeeta Handa in the office.
SDM Patiala wrote in his report that” after observing the facts, it is recommended a vigilance or departmental enquiry against Principal Sangeeta Handa for misuse of Govt funds, giving benefits to her relatives, harassing college staff, giving charges to junior level staff, for further enquiry.”
