Vigilance nabs revenue official for taking bribe of Rs. 10,000

State Vigilance Bureau today nabbed revenue Field Kanugo Sangrur cum halka patwari Ramnagar red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000.
Disclosing this Mandeep Singh Sidhu , SSP Vigilance Patiala said Sukhdev Singh, Revenue Field Kanugo Sangrur cum halka patwari Ramnagar in Sangrur district was nabbed red handed by Vigilance team for accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000 from complainant Kulwinder Singh of Kamomajra Khurd, Sangrur district.
The complainant has approached the VB and alleged that the above said Patwari was demanding Rs. 10,000/- for correction in mutation of land.
After verifying his information, a VB team laid a trap and the accused Patwari was arrested on the spot while accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000/- from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses. A FIR No 16 Dt 22 /9 /2020 U/S 7 PC Act 1988 as amended by PC (Amendment ) Act 2018 PS VB Patiala Range Patiala has been registered against accused Sukhdev Singh Field Kanugo Sangrur cum halka patwari Ramnagar Sibiyan district Sangrur. Vigilance team led by DSP Satnam Singh caught accused red handed and recovered Rs 10000 bribe money from him.
Vigilance nabs revenue official for taking bribe of Rs. 10,000-Sidhu.He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused at VB police station Patiala and further investigation was under progress.
