Vijayendra and Rajneesh Clinch Doubles Title in Chandigarh State Seniors ( Veterans) Badminton Championships -2024

Vijayendra Kumar ,IAS and Rajneesh Bhatia of Trident Group combined to win the Mens 50+ Badminton title beating Gurmeet Singh and Riyaz in straight games with scoreline 21-10 , 21-6 in the Chandigarh State Seniors ( Veterans) Badminton Championships 2024 which concluded today at Sector 42 Sports Complex , Chandigarh. Rajneesh Bhatia lifted Mixed doubles 50+ trophy too combining with Geeta Agarwal. Deepak Saxena won Tripple crown by winning all the three events in 45+ age category.
The Championship was played on 17th and 18th February 2024 wherein approximately 100 players from 35+ to 75+ age group participated in more than 35 events spreading across singles , doubles and mixed doubles. Dr . Sunil Rayat , Joint Director Sports, Chandigarh Administration was the chief guest of the closing ceremony and attractive prizes were given away to the Winners and Runners up by the Chief Guest along with the distinguished Guests of honor Vijayendra IAS and Prabhjot Singh IAS.
The Chandigarh State team for forthcoming Nationals ( Veterans) Championships to be held in Panchkula from 16th to 18th March will be selected on basis of performance of players in this championships , stated Col Raj Parmar, Sr Vice President , CBA and tournament Director.
