Within 24 hours state government withdraws BBMB Member, Irrigation appointment orders

In a surprise move, today, the Haryana government has issues a withdrawal order of Rakesh Chuhan, who was appointed as member, irrigation, Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) on January 23, 2025.
Rakesh Chuhan is posted engineer-in-Chief, water resources department in Haryana when his appointment orders were issued as member, irrigation, Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB).
The post of member irrigation is against quota post of Haryana in Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB).
The BBMB has one post of chairman and two posts of members -irrigation and power. Member Power is selected from Punjab and Member Irrigation from Haryana.
The post of member irrigation was lying vacant since long.
On the other hand, the Punjab government has issued an appointment orders of Harinder Pal Singh Bedi as secretary, BBMB. The said post is a SE level post and Bedi is presently working as chief engineer in Punjab water resources department.
