Women commission seeks report of Rampura Phul incident

Punjab State Women Commission on Monday sought a report from Punjab Bureau of Investigation and SSP Bathinda in the incident of Rampura Phul, where a Nihang allegedly confined and raped a girl at a Dera. He also allegedly tortured her.
Seeking report on February 13, 2020, Chairperson of Punjab State Women Commission Manisha Gulati said that the matter had come to her notice through media reports and she has ordered the Senior Superintendent of Police of Bathinda to appoint S.P. Level officers to investigate the matter and send the finding report in this regard.
