Women’s day celebration at NITTTR Chandigarh

NITTTR Chandigarh celebrated International Women’s Day on the theme ‘Choose to Challenge’ on 8th March 2021. The program began with the address of Prof. SS Pattnaik, Director, NITTTR Chandigarh who talked about importance of cohesiveness in the workplace and at home maintained by women. A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change. Collectively everyone everywhere should strive for women’s equality and continue to make positive gains

Nandita Gupta IAS, Joint Secretary at Ministry of Food and Public Distribution, GOI, New Delhi delivered her talk online focusing on Women empowerment and striving to be Each for Equal – because an equal world is an enabled world and voiced for consistently commitment to calling out inequity.

The event also included the launch of a short film ‘Nari – A Woman’s Quest for Identity’ by Art Infinitii directed by Jyotirmya and produced by Dr. Rita Dutt along with the creative team of  Sarvpriya Nirmohi and  Chaitanya. The short film portrays the struggle of women and depicts their journey from confinement to freedom. Various other events as Essay competition and Thought sharing were also organized by Dr. Meenakshi and Dr. Garima as International Women’s Day celebration coordinators. Faculty, staff and students of the institute participated in various competition, and thoughts were shared on International Women’s day theme by faculty members, staff, PhD & ME students.
