Workshop on Photography at Govt Mohindra College

The Photography Club and Journalism and Mass communication department of Government Mohindra College,Patiala  organized a workshop on “Basics of Photography and Videography” at Sabha Bhawan.

The keynote speaker for the occasion was Amarpreet Singh from Journalism department of Punjabi University, Patiala. He enlightened the students regarding the fine details, functioning and various features of a DSLR and Mobile phone cameras which makes it possible to click better photographs. He also shared the principles to be kept in mind by students to get better results while clicking photos and making videos.

The workshop was conducted under the stewardship of the college Principal Dr. Simrat Kaur. Professor Loveleen Parmar, convener of the photography club, expressed her thanks towards the keynote speaker and motivated the students to try and experiment clicking photographs with the new learned tips and tricks. She said that these workshops are beneficial to shape the overall personality of the students and also help them to improve their practical skills.

Professor Vandna Modgill, Professor Kamaldeep Kaur, Professor Geeta Sharma, Professor Rittu Paran Kaushal and Professor Jasleen Kaur were on the organizing committee of the workshop. The students of Journalism department of the college and the members of photography club participated in on-the-spot logo making and editing exercises on their cell phones and applications like Canva during this workshop.
