World University organises a national seminar dedicated to the martyrdom of Mata Gujri and the Sahibjadas

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib as per the directives of the University Pro-Chancellor Prof. Ajaib Singh Brar and Vice-Chancellor and under the leadership of the University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Prit Pal Singh organised a One Day National Seminar dedicated to the martyrdom of Mata Gujar Kaur ji, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh.

Prof. Harbhajan Singh, retired, Punjabi University, Patiala and Dr. Sikandar Singh, Head, Punjabi Department of the University were the guest speakers. Presiding over the seminar, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Prit Pal Singh said that the unique martyrdom of Sahibjadas inspires us to follow the path of truth. Dean Academic Affairs of the University, Prof. Sukhwinder Singh Billing introduced the theme of the seminar.

The main speaker of the seminar Prof. Harbhajan Singh said that the concept of martyrdom in Sikhi is very important and unique. He said that the apocalypse is a great event like no other event. He also asked to take inspiration from Saka Sirhind for the good of the entire humanity.

World University organises a national seminar dedicated to the martyrdom of Mata Gujri and the Sahibjadas . On this occasion, Dr. Sikander Singh deliberated on the theoretical and historical aspects of martyrdom. He said that continuity of seminars related to martyrdom is very important because with such seminars the nation can be made aware of its great heritage. Dr. Kirandeep Kaur, seminar convener welcomed the dignitaries and audience to the seminar. Dr. Hardev Singh, Head, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Religious Studies Department thanked all the guests.

The teaching and non-teaching staff and the students of different departments of the university participated in the seminar.
