World University’s students,faculty excel at  Int’l Conference

The faculty and students of physiotherapy department of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib  participated in Synapse – 2018, 1st International Conference of Physiotherapists held at Chitkara University  on 13th and 14th October 2018, organized by Synapse Physio private limited and Chitkara School of Health Sciences.

The conference was attended by international delegates from United Kingdom and Europe and national delegates and students from AIMS, New Delhi, Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, Mullana University, Lovely Professional University, Noida International University, Jagannath University, Apeejay College, Jalandhar and ITS College Ghaziabad.

Dr Pankajpreet Singh, Department In charge, chaired a scientific session and was felicitated as Guest of Honour.  Dr Supreet Bindra, Assistant Professor delivered an invited talk on “Balancing the Muscle Imbalance”.

The students of Bachelor in Physiotherapy excelled academically as well as in cultural events.  Sukhdeep Kaur form BPT 4th year secured 1st position for poster presentation in senior category. Guramanpreet Kaur and Navdeep Kaur secured 1st position for poster presentation in junior category. Deepak Dawer from BPT 3rd year secured 2nd position for poster presentation. BPT 4th year students Niharika Sharma and Simran Mohi bagged 2nd position in quiz competition. BPT 2nd year student Harwinder Singh stood 3rd in Solo singing competition. The enthusiastic and energetic girls of BPT secured third position in group dance competition by performing ‘Gidda’.

Vice Chancellor of the World University Dr. Sukhdarshan Singh Khehra congratulated the faculty members and students for their performance in the conference and wished them all the best for future.
