Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer, President of the Youth Akali Dal, today announced that the organization will play a crucial role in making the Shiromani Akali Dal’s (SAD) upcoming Maghi Rally a resounding success.
To strategize and finalize the plans for the rally, the Youth Akali Dal held an important meeting of its office holders at the party office in Chandigarh. The meeting was attended by senior leaders and office bearers of the YAD, who discussed various aspects of the rally and assigned responsibilities to different teams.
Addressing a press conference, Jhinjer said, “The SAD is the only regional party that genuinely cares about Punjab’s development. In contrast, other parties are more concerned with pleasing their bosses in Delhi.”
Jhinjer alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress are engaged in a “friendly match” in Punjab, with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann constantly attacking the Akali Dal because it is the only party holding the AAP accountable for its misdeeds in the state.
Youth Akali Dal to play vital role in making SAD’s Maghi rally a grand success: YAD President Sarabjeet Jhinjer posed five questions to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on behalf of the youth of Punjab:
1. What happened to the AAP’s education guarantee? Not a single new college or school has been opened by the AAP in the last three years. Instead, the party is taking credit for institutions established during the previous SAD-BJP government.
2. What happened to the health guarantee? Not a single new hospital or medical college has been built. The 16 medical colleges promised by Bhagwant Mann have not even begun construction.
3. What about the mining sector? The AAP had promised to generate revenue worth Rs 20,000 crore annually from mining, but a recent report reveals that the actual revenue is a meager Rs 300 crore. Where has the rest of the money gone?
4. What about the MSP guarantee? The AAP has not only failed to provide MSP on other crops as promised by their minister, but they have also botched the procurement process during the recent paddy season, forcing farmers to sell their crops below MSP.
5. What about law and order? The situation has deteriorated significantly, with daily attacks on police stations and citizens being threatened by gangsters without fear of the law. Corruption has also increased manifold.
Jhinjer concluded by saying that the Youth Akali Dal will continue to raise its voice against the AAP’s misrule in Punjab and work tirelessly to make the SAD’s Maghi Rally a grand success.
