Youth Festivals of GNDU from October 06; University to dedicate “The Nanak Singh Centre” to eminent novelist

Guru Nanak Dev University is organising special event for launching of “ The Nanak Singh Centre” in the Bhai Gurdas Library of the University on October 6, 2022 at 12.30 pm in the Senate Hall of the University. This Centre will house the precious belongs and  other Artifacts relating to eminent poet and novelist S Nanak Singh .

Vice – Chancellor, Prof. Dr Jaspal Singh Sandhu will preside over the event while Dr Navdeep Singh Suri, Former Ambassador and grandson of Nanak Singh & Kulbir Singh Suri, son of Nanak Singh, Jatinder Brar, Chairman Foundation will also present their views on this occasion.

Youth Festivals of GNDU from October 06; University to dedicate “The Nanak Singh Centre” to eminent novelist. Meanwhile, Zonal Youth Festival of Education colleges will also be inaugurated on October 6, 2022 in the Dashmesh auditorium of the University at 12.00 pm with the competitions of folk dance Gidha followed by other competitions of Inter-College Cultural competitions, the Youth Festivals of Guru Nanak Dev University are starting from October 06, 2022. A large number of student-artists will participate in these festivals. The festival will be organized in various venues Dasmesh Auditorium, Guru Nanak Bhavan Auditorium, Conference Hall, Architecture Department & Lecture Theature Complex of the Guru Nank Dev University.

Prof. Anish Dua, Incharge, Youth Welfare Department and Dean Student’s Welfare while giving details about the festivals said that first festival of Education Colleges will be organized from October 06 to 07 and the youth festival of ‘D’ zone of Kapurthala, SBS Nagar & Phagwara district colleges will be held on Ocotber 14 to 17.

He said that GNDU Govt./Constituent college/Associate Institutes’ youth festival is scheduled from October 19 to 22. and ‘B’ Zone Youth Festival will be held from October 26 to 29 in which GNDU affiliated colleges of Gurdaspur, Pathankot and Tarn Taran districts are participating. ‘A’ zone Amritsar district colleges youth festival is to be organized from November 01 to 04 and ‘C’ Zone Youth Fest of Jalandhar District Colleges is scheduled to be held from November 14 to 17. The Inter-Zonal Final Youth Festival will be held on November 18 to 21, 2022.
