YPS students visited France under exchange programme

The students of Yadavindra Public School, Patiala, successfully culminated 10 days French Exchange Programme. A group of 18 students and two teachers escort K.L. Dhiman and Vidushi Datta visited France for 10 days on June 5-16.This was an exchange programme conducted under the aegis of AFS, India and was coordinated by Sangita Malik, YPS Exchange Programme Coordinator and President AFS, Patiala.
As a part of Class Reciprocal Exchange Programme, a group of 18 students along with two teachers escort visited France in the first week of June. During this ten day programme, the students explored the French culture, cuisine, culinary skills, art and the history. They were welcomed by the staff and the students of Lycee Clos Maire School of Beaune, France.
Following the eventful itinerary, the group visited many famous places of the country like Fallot Mustard Factory, Rude Museum and many other historical places. They also stayed with the host families to feel the pulse of the French culture. The students also attended different workshops on Art, Science and Technology. The enlightening sessions aided the team to learn more about French cultural diversities.
The team from France is expected to visit YPS during the end of the year as part of the same programme. Apart from these short term programmes, the workshops related to inter cultural learning for teachers as well as students was also held in the school premises. Such programmes teach the young generation to be sensitive towards all the cultures of the world and to accept them whole heartedly. Gradually working towards a better and peaceful world.
