22 Punjab police officials awarded with gallantry/ service medals on Republic Day. It includes Punjab police Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Gurmeet Singh Chuhan (IPS) has been awarded with Police Medal for Gallantry. Similarly Inspector Bikramjit Singh Brar (now DSP) with 1st Bar to Police Medal for Gallantry, SI (LR) Balvinder Singh with 1st Bar to Police Medal, ASI (LR) Kirpal Singh has also been awarded with Police Medal for Gallantry on the occasion of Republic Day 2020.
They were awarded for doing an exemplary work and killing dreaded gangsters Vicky Gounder and Prema Lahoria along with other gallant work.
