3,04,883 voters to cast votes in Fatehgarh Sahib Panchayat elections-DC

‘A total of 03 Lakh 04 Thousand 883 Voters are to cast their votes for the election of 428 Sarpanches and 2480 Panches in the district which include 01 Lakh 57 Thousand 624 male voter, 01 Lakh 47 Thousand 257 female voters and a couple of voters from third gender.’ disclosed by Shivdular Singh Dhillon, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Fatehgarh Sahib.
Giving further details ,Dhillon said that there are 98 Panchayats in the block Sirhind. Total 68 thousand 567 voters, which include 36 thousand 026 male and 32 thousand 541 female voters, are to cast their votes for the election of 98 sarpanches and 560 panches in this block. In Block Khera 54 thousand 860 voters, which include 29 thousand 153 male and 25 thousand 707 female voters, are to cast their votes for the election of 86 sarpanches and 482 panches. Block Amloh have 94 Panchayats and 72 thousand 848 voters, which include 38 thousand 566 male, 34 thousand 281 female voters and a voter of third gender. They are to cast their votes for 566 Panches and 94 Sarpanches.
District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner further said that there are 79 Panchayats and 46 thousand 295 voters in the block Bassi Pathana. This block have 24 thousand 617 male, 21 thousand 677 female voters and 01 voter of third gender and they are to use their right of vote for the election of 439 Panches and 79 Sarpanches. Block Khamanon have 71 Panchayats and 62 thousand 313 voters. 29 thousand 262 male voters and 33 thousand 51 female voters of this block are to cast their votes for the election of 71 Sarpanches and 433 Panches.
