50th GNDU inter-college athletics (M&W) meet inaugurated

The 50th Guru Nanak Dev University Inter-College Athletics (M&W) Meet 2019-2020 was inaugurated here today at the University Athletics Grounds. More than 400 athletes from the affiliated colleges of the University are participating in the meet which is being organized by the Department of Physical Education (AT). This meet will concluded on November 20.
Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Head, Department of Physical Education (AT) & Director Sports welcomed the teams of various colleges. He said that in the final result of Men competition, in 5000 mts, Lakhbir Singh, Khalsa College, Amritsar, in 500 mts, Muksinder Singh of LKC Jalandhar, in 110 m. hurdles, Sukhbir Singh of Khalsa College, Amritsar, in Broad Jump, Sukhjeet Singh, of LKC Jalandhar were stood first.
He said that in Women competition final results, in 5000 mts, Radha Kumari of KMV Jalandhar, in 800 mts, Deepika of HMV Jalandhar, 100 m. hurdles, Mandeep Kaur, of HMV Jalandhar, in Shot Put, Kavita Goswami of HMV Jalandhar were stoop first.
On November 19, competitions of Walk, Hurdles Heats, Hurdles Hepth., Broad Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, 400 M Final, 10000 M Final, High Jump Hepth., High Jump Final, Discus Throw Final, 200M Heats, 1500M Final, Triple Jump, 4x100m final & Heats will be organized. Meanwhile, On November 20, competitions of Half Marathan (21 km), 110M Hurdles, Discus Throw, 200M Final, Broad Jump (Hepth.), 200M Final, Broad Jump Hepth.), 200M Final, Javelin Throw (Hepth.), Pole Vault, 800M. Final, Triple Jump Final,800M, 1500M, 4x400M Relay Final and Hammer Throw Final will be organized.
