78th Independence Day celebrations held at Ryan International School, Patiala

To celebrate the 78th Independence Day of the nation, Ryan International School, Patiala, organised special assemblies on 14th August 2024 for students of Montessori to Std. V and on 15th August 2024 for Std VI to Std XII. The students actively participated, all dressed in tricolour attire symbolising the national flag.
The ceremonies began with a brief prayer, setting a reflective tone for the day’s proceedings. The highlight of the event on 15th August was the flag hoisting ceremony, where the tricolour was unfurled, symbolising the freedom and sacrifices made by countless brave souls. This was followed by the entire assembly standing in reverence as the National Anthem echoed across the grounds, instilling a profound sense of national unity.
Throughout the programs, the students expressed their deep love for the country through various performances. Poignant poetry recitations on independence by students encapsulated the struggles and victories of India’s freedom movement, stirring emotions in the audience. This was followed by a patriotic song that filled the air with fervour, beautifully supported by an orchestra performance that brought to life the spirit of the occasion.
The students then delivered an inspiring speech on Independence Day, honouring the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters and reminding everyone of the responsibility that comes with freedom. A key part of the celebration was the vibrant and energetic dance performances by the students, which depicted the nation’s journey towards freedom and left the audience in awe of their talent and passion
The thought for the day and National Pledge served to reinforce the commitment to uphold the principles that have shaped the nation. The Principal, Pooja Sharma delivered an empowering address, urging students to embody the spirit of freedom in their everyday lives and to contribute positively to the nation’s future. The students then reaffirmed their dedication to the school’s values through the Ryan Pledge, followed by a collective rendition of the Ryan Song and School Anthem.On the occasion chocolates were distributed to all the students present for the celebrations.

Also it is worth mentioning that among the participants of State Independence Day Celebrations on 15.08.2024 at POLO Ground, there were 22 talented boys from Ryan International School, Patiala, who had the honour of being selected to take part in the prestigious event. Their enthusiastic participation added a special touch to the occasion, as they proudly represented the school and contributed to the vibrant atmosphere of the celebration.
