Students display sports skills at 17th Ryan Annual Sports Meet 2024

Ryan International School, Patiala, hosted its much-awaited 17th Annual Sports Meet for students of Classes III to XII under the able guidance of Chairman, RIGI (Ryan International Group of Institutions), Dr. A.F. Pinto, and Managing Director, RIGI, Dr. Grace Pinto. The event was graced by esteemed Guests of Honour Jagjit Singh, Chief Athletic Coach, Sports University, Patiala and Prof. Jagdev Singh, Retd. HOD Physical Edu. Dept., Mohindra College, Patiala, whose presence added charm and significance to the occasion.
The day commenced with an air of excitement as Principal, Pooja Sharma declared the Sports Meet open. The dignitaries along with the Principal, released balloons, symbolizing the spirit of freedom and sportsmanship, and reviewed the Guard of Honour presented by the School Cabinet leaders, followed by contingents from the four houses.
The playground was transformed into a vibrant and lively arena with a host of events including captivating aerobics, synchronized drill displays, and various fun races such as the Balloon Race, Chair Race, Hurdle Race, Relay Race, and Sprints. The enthusiastic participation of students made the day a grand success, with cheers and encouragement echoing across the grounds.
The announcement of the Best Athlete Boy, Best Athlete Girl, and the Medal Distribution ceremony was the highlight of the event, with the playground reverberating with applause as Mst. Arshdeep Singh (XIIC) and Ms. Eshavdeep Kaur (XIC) were announced as the Best Athlete Boy and Best Athlete Girl, respectively. The excitement reached its peak during the much-anticipated house results. IsaacNewton House emerged as the Champion House, followed closely by Aryabhatta House as the 1st Runner-Up and Albert Einstein House as the 2nd Runner-Up.
