By continuing the temporary downgradation of the NHAI Chairman’s post, his term extended for 2 years

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension in central deputation tenure of Santosh Kumar Yadav, lAS (UP:95), Chairman, National Highways Authority of India, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary, for a period of 02 years beyond 17.02.2025 i.e. up to 17.02.2027 or until further orders whichever is earlier, by continuing the temporary downgradation of the post.
Santosh Kumar Yadav, IAS (UP:1995) took charge as Chairman, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) w.e.f. 02.01.2023. Prior to joining as Chairman, NHAI, Yadav served as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
He holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee and M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
