Congress appoints Vijayinder Singla as In-Charge of newly formed party department

Congress general secretary KC Venugopal has issue an appointment letter of Vijayinder Singla as All India Congress Committee (AICC) Incharge of the newly formed Congress Party’s Assets and Properties department.
As per orders, he will also continue as the Joint Treasurer of AICC.
As per sources, Congress party is worried that its vast land holdings were being “pilfered” or lying in disuse. So the Congress has decided to lay the ground for their optimum utilization. In June 2015, amid fears of illegal land grab and default on taxes, Congress in a move aimed at securing its vast real estate spread across the country, had started a process and asked its state units to collect details of all properties belonging to the party.
