11 Years of Modi’s Leadership — A National Renaissance That Made India Secure, Capable, Confident, and Prosperous: Lalpura

In a press conference held today,  senior BJP leader, Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, and Member of the BJP Parliamentary Board, Iqbal Singh Lalpura, presented a comprehensive account of the transformative 11-year tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Lalpura emphasized that Modi’s leadership was not merely a political shift but a revolution in nation-building.

He stated that the foundation of Modi’s governance rests on three core principles – Seva (Service), Su-śāsan (Good Governance), and Garib Kalyan (Welfare of the Poor). These pillars have laid the groundwork for a new India that offers dignity, security, and opportunity to all citizens — while emerging globally as a strong, self-reliant, and proud nation.

Taking a sharp dig at Congress, Lalpura called their rule a “dark era” marked by corruption, stagnation, and neglect, especially for states like Punjab. He said Congress deliberately kept Punjab backward — pushing the once-prosperous state into the traps of drug abuse, unemployment, and crime.

Contrastingly, under Modi’s leadership, Punjab was reconnected to the national mainstream through impactful schemes — Maternity Yojana for women, PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi for farmers, Skill India and Startup India for youth, and Har Ghar Jal for basic living needs. These schemes have reached every doorstep and ignited hope.

Lalpura  highlighted how Modi Government gave a strong and decisive answer to terrorism, Naxalism, and Pakistan’s provocations. Surgical and air strikes sent a clear message: “This is a New India that strikes back even across the border.” The abrogation of Article 370 brought Jammu & Kashmir fully into India’s constitutional mainstream — a historic and courageous step.

He pointed out India’s defence strength under Modi — with Tejas, Rafale, INS Vikrant, and S-400 systems, India now exports Rs. 23,622 crore worth of defence equipment. Modi  has secured not just our borders, but also elevated India’s diplomatic stature across the world.

Lalpura emphasized that under Modi :

  • Rs. 44 lakh crore has been directly transferred into beneficiaries’ bank accounts via DBT, cutting out middlemen and curbing corruption.
  • Digital India initiatives like UPI, DigiLocker, CoWIN, and ABHA showcase India’s technological leadership globally.

India improved its Ease of Doing Business ranking from 142 to 63, with 1.80 lakh new companies registered. MSMEs received Rs. 2.39 lakh crore in support. India’s exports crossed $825 billion, a sign of economic strength.

In agriculture, he outlined key achievements:

  • Over Rs. 3.7 lakh crore transferred to 11 crore farmers under PM-Kisan Yojana
  • Soil Health Cards, Crop Insurance, e-NAM platform, and enhanced irrigation schemes have significantly improved farmers’ conditions.

Lalpura  proudly noted that:

  • 4 crore homes were built under PM Awas Yojana
  • 81 crore people received free ration
  • 15 crore homes got tap water connections
  • Over 9 crore citizens received free treatment under Ayushman Bharat

In education and healthcare, the Modi government established:

  • 23 new AIIMS
  • 8 IIMs
  • 7 IITs
  • 490 new universities
  • Over 1.6 crore youth trained under Skill India Mission

On women empowerment, he said the Nari Shakti Vandan Act gave 33% reservation to women in Parliament and Assemblies. Triple talaq was abolished, maternity leave extended to 26 weeks, and women now have permanent commission in defence forces. Women pilots and SHGs have been given substantial support.

Lalpura praised environmental efforts:

  • Tiger population rose to 3,682
  • Campaigns like “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” led to planting of 142 crore trees

Referring to Northeast India, he said under the “Lead East” policy, the region received Rs. 4.3 lakh crore in investment and 10 Greenfield Airports were developed — a clear shift from isolation to integration.

In conclusion, Lalpura  said:

“This is Amrit Kaal – the time of India’s renaissance. Under the leadership of Narendra Modi , India is not only developing fast but awakening to a new consciousness, new self-belief, and a new future. I say with pride — Modi is the solution for both Punjab and Bharat.”
