DSGMC President welcomes arrest of perpetrator who issued threat to Golden Temple

Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Harmeet Singh Kalka today condemned the e-mail issued to the Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on July 14 threatening to blow Harmandar Sahib (Golden Temple) in the sanctum sanctorum of Sri Darbar Sahib Complex, Amritsar.
We welcome the arrest of the person who has sent these e-mails and it is praise worthy on the part of the police and the intelligence agencies which have cracked the case within a few days,” said Kalka.
Addressing a press conference at DSGMC headquarter in Gurudwara Rakabganj Sahib, New Delhi, Kalka demanded thorough probe into the matter. The connections have been established in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and a person resident of Faridabad has been arrested.

The persons who have issued threat might be planted or paid persons and their motive of committing such heinous crime should be known, demanded DSGMC president. The foundation stone of Sri Harmandar Sahib was laid by Sai Mian Meer who was invited by Fifth master Guru Arjan Dev Ji.
Kalka also called upon the SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami to ask the IT cell to be alert so as to deal with any such eventuality and such an incident is not repeated in the future.
