Lalpura receives distress call from youth stranded in Kazakhstan; expresses deep concern over the plight of Punjabi workers abroad

Bahadurjeet Singh/ royalpatiala.in News/ Rupnagar, October 19,2025                    BJP Rupnagar District President Ajayvir Singh Lalpura received an emotional phone call from Harvinder Singh, a youth from Nangal, who became a victim of an alleged fraud by a local travel agent and is now stranded in Kazakhstan. Harvinder pleaded for help, narrating that he and several others were lured abroad with the promise of driver jobs, but on arrival, they were forced to carry heavy loads for miles in mountainous areas under harsh and inhuman conditions.

Expressing deep concern, Lalpura said, “It is heartbreaking to hear that our Punjabi youth are trapped in freezing cold, hunger, and torture. Eight people are living in small containers — without proper food, rest, or safety.”

He revealed that several young men from Rupnagar district — including Manjit Singh, Amarjit Singh, Hardeep Singh, and Avtar Singh — were deceived by an agent who sent them abroad under false promises.

“It is truly shameful that the sons of the sacred land of Sri Anandpur Sahib, known for courage and sacrifice, are today suffering humiliation and exploitation on foreign soil,” Lalpura added.

Calling the situation a “reflection of the collapse of the corrupt system,” he asked, “Why are corruption cases continuously emerging in Punjab? Where is this black money going while our youth are risking their lives abroad in misery?

Concluding his statement, Lalpura prayed, “May Waheguru bless everyone with strength and bring all our boys safely back home in Chardi Kala (high spirits).
