IIT Ropar and Sarbat Da Bhala Trust collaborated for the Welfare of Youth of Pb

 IIT Ropar provided with Rs. 2,50,000 by “Sarbat Da Bhala Trust” that is to be given in the form of awards  during the convocation every year for excellence in Teaching  ,  Best Thesis  , Student leadership for social service.  S.P.S Oberoi, Managing Trustee, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust today visited IIT Ropar and during the meeting with Prof. S.K Das, Director, IIT Ropar  not only discussed about the current Research initiatives going on in IIT Ropar, but also envisioned to bring Indoor Stadium in IIT Ropar for training 10 different martial arts catering to all youth in Punjab. He also discussed to bring First-of-its Kind in the nation a University for Special Children in 100 acres near IIT Ropar aspiring for education.

Prof. S.K.Das thanked S.P.S Oberoi for envisioning the welfare of the Special Children and for the youth of Punjab and also roping IIT Ropar for helping the same. He discussed that IIT Ropar is already working on early affordable Cancer Diagnosis, Ground Water management and treatment and affordable Defense equipments.

Divulging more he added that IIT Ropar has envisioned to bring Indoor stadium in the campus for channelizing the energy of the youth in a constructive way. To this, S.P.S Oberoi desired to be  a part of this vision and mission and declared to contribute to  bring Indoor Stadium in IIT Ropar for training 10 different martial arts catering to all youth in Punjab.

S.P.S Oberoi in the meeting said, “IIT Ropar is coming up with a magnificent structure at the bank of river Satluj and very soon, it will be an engineering marvel and it is under the leadership of Prof. Das is doing wonderful in the welfare of the public at large through extensive research from early diagnostic, ground water management to Stubble management. It’s an opportunity to be a part of this organization for bringing virtual change in the life of the people.”

A thanksgiving certificate is provided to S.P.S Oberoi for his generous and monitory Support.  In the meeting, Dr. Bhupinder Singh Bhullar, Dr. Pushpendrapal Singh, Dr. R.S. Parmar, Inderpal Singh Chadha, J.K. Jaggi, Dilbar Singh were also present.
