PU invites applications for Reel Making Competition and Photo Contest

Panjab University, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Renu Vig, unveiled the poster of a Reel Making Competition and Photo Contest themed “Life at PU”. The prestigious contest is being organised by the Department of Public Relations (DPR), Panjab University.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig said that PU offers the most academically vibrant campus life and this contest will celebrate the creative spirit of Panjab University.

The competition has commenced and the last date for submission is January 29, 2026. The theme of the competition is “Life at PU”, highlighting everyday campus life, culture, academics and personal experiences.

Under the Reel Making Competition, the first and second prize winners will get cash prizes of Rs.10,000/- and Rs.7,000/- respectively, along with five consolation prizes of Rs.1,000/- each. The Photo Contest carries a first prize of Rs.5,000/-, second prize of Rs. 3,000, and five consolation prizes of Rs.1,000/- each.

The competition is open to all, including students, alumni, staff and the general public, with no age bar. Participants are required to register through the QR code provided on the poster and submit their best reels and photographs.

PU Spokesperson said that right from the classrooms, library, playgrounds and hostels, every corner of the campus has a story and every moment defines life at Panjab University. This initiative encourages students, alumni, and future students to creatively capture and share their connection with the university, he added.

Those present on the occasion included Prof. Meenakshi Goyal, Director, Research and Development Cell, Prof. Y. P. Verma, Registrar,  Prof. Jagat Bhushan, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Rakesh Malik, Director, Sports, Dr. Vineet Punia, Director, Public Relations, Prof. Krishan Kumar, Secretary to Vice Chancellor; Sh. Vikram Singh, Chief of University Security along with faculty members and staff of the Department of Public Relations.
