Punjabi University, Patiala, moved a step closer towards being student-friendly with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof B.S. Ghuman, inaugurating an ‘online examination enquiry and services portal’ in the new examination building here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Ghuman said that the service would enable the students to get online reply to any of their queries and get the required documents at a much speedier pace without undergoing the hassles of visiting the university campus time and again. With the service having been made available on the university website right with its inauguration, the time for each of the service and payment gateway will be finalized in a week’s time, Prof Ghuman said.
Dr G.S. Batra, Dean, Research and Controller of Examinations, who has designed the service following the directive from the Vice-Chancellor, with the help of the Director, University Computer Centre, Dr Kanwaljit Singh, said that the various services, which would be available with the launch of the portal, include getting of transcripts, medium certificate, backlog certificate, academic status certificate, document verification, RL notification, duplicate DMC/degrees, correction of DMC/degree, migration certificates and eligibility certificates
