YPS, Patiala reinforces environmental sensitivity through Grand Flower Show

Yadavindra Public School (YPS), Patiala successfully hosted its first-ever Flower Show on Sunday, March 1, 2026, marking a vibrant celebration of environmental awareness and creative expression.
The esteemed YPS Board members, Former DGP, Amarjot Singh Gill , Lt Gen Chetinder Singh (Retd), Col RPS Brar (Retd), Headmaster, Navin Kumar Dixit and Ruchi Dixit inaugurated the Flower Show.
Around 100 participants presented an impressive array of floral exhibits, artistic landscape designs, potted arrangements, and eco-themed garden models across multiple categories, reflecting innovation and ecological sensitivity.
The entries were evaluated by a distinguished panel.
Adding to the spirited atmosphere, the school’s Boarding houses participated enthusiastically, with Boys’ Holding House emerging as the winner. The celebration was further enlivened by a charming ramp walk and vibrant dance performances presented by all Prep-2 students, alongside an engaging art competition and a captivating musical presentation that showcased students’ creativity and confidence.
In a special gesture of appreciation, all gardeners of YPS , Patiala participated in the Potted Plants category, and each participant was honoured with cash prizes in recognition of their dedication and contribution to horticulture.

The Headmaster, Navin Kumar Dixit, remarked, “This Flower Show reflects our deep-rooted commitment to environmental sensitivity and our mission to nurture responsible, eco-conscious citizens.”
The event not only showcased botanical excellence but also reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to fostering ecological consciousness within and beyond the campus.
