Dr. Gandhi takes up matter of Gagandeep Stranded at Russia–Ukraine Border with External Affairs Minister

Dr. Dharamvira Gandhi, Member of Parliament from Patiala, met the Minister for External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar, and raised the urgent case of Gagandeep Singh, a Punjabi youth reportedly stranded in the Russia–Ukraine border region amid the ongoing conflict. Dr. Gandhi requested the Ministry of External Affairs to intervene and take necessary steps to ensure the safety and possible evacuation of the young man.
During the meeting, Dr. Gandhi also brought to the Minister’s attention the case of a Punjabi entrepreneur facing an inordinate delay in the issuance of a US L1 visa, which has been causing significant hardship and uncertainty for his business commitments.
The External Affairs Minister patiently heard both matters and assured Dr. Gandhi that the Ministry would look into the cases and extend all possible assistance to facilitate a prompt resolution.
Dr. Gandhi expressed his gratitude to the Minister for his time and for assuring prompt attention to the concerns raised.
