The day of March 31st is going to prove historic for the city of Nangal and will be remembered by future generations as well. Due to the tireless efforts and commitment of Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains, a new wave of development is being witnessed in Nangal. On this day, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will formally inaugurate several important projects, which will not only strengthen the infrastructural development of the area but will also improve the lifestyle of the people.
Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains (School Education, Technical Education, Industrial Training, Higher Education, Languages, and Information & Public Relations, Punjab) stated that North India’s first glass bridge is being constructed in Nangal at a cost of Rs 10 crore. This project will boost tourism and strengthen the local economy. Along with this, the “Shaheed Captain Amol Kalia Centre of Excellence,” being built at a cost of Rs 23 crore, will open new avenues of employment and skill training for youth, where modern trades like drone training and air hostess training will be started.
Apart from this, a major project worth Rs 17 crore for the supply of clean drinking water will be initiated, which will provide the residents of Nangal with access to clean water. A 500-capacity auditorium is also being constructed in the School of Eminence, which will serve as a center for academic and cultural activities for students. All these projects together will ensure the development of Nangal and give a new shape to the region.
The Mega Vikas Rally to be held at the NFL Ground, Nangal will also be a special highlight of the day. A large number of people will participate in this rally, and it will write a new chapter in the history of Nangal. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will address the gathering. Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains himself is reviewing the preparations for the event to ensure that all arrangements are carried out smoothly and that the public does not face any inconvenience.
During the past four years of the Punjab Government’s tenure, several new benchmarks of development have been set. Decisions such as providing free cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh, fulfilling the promise to women through the “Maavan-Dhiyaan Satkar Yojana,” and providing jobs to thousands of youth reflect the government’s commitment. Bains said that under the vision of National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, significant improvements have also been made in the fields of education and health in Punjab.
