Instead of implementing the agreements reached with the Punjab Finance Minister and Power Minister in August last by telling them empty words. The leaders accused the management of Powercom and Transco and the Punjab government of deliberately keeping the legitimate issues of electricity employees and pensioners in a state of limbo and called on the electricity workers to come in droves to protest on April 10 in front of the head office in Patiala and to protest strongly against the power management and the Punjab government.

It may be mentioned that fifty thousand posts are vacant, despite having very few staff, electricity employees are continuously losing their precious lives due to accidents. Government is neither making regular recruitment to correct the poor management of the Powercom and Transco corporations nor is he considering the purchase of modern equipment to work in the era of technology. On the contrary, he is working to lower the morale of the employees by making irresponsible comments towards the employees. The leaders said that the head of the Punjab government is making false statements to divert attention from the real issues.
