Punjab State Open University Signs MoU with MP Bhoj Open University, Bhopal

Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University (JGND PSOU), Patiala (Punjab), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University (MPBOU), Bhopal on April 27, 2026, to strengthen academic collaboration and promote mutual growth in higher education.

Under this MoU, both institutions have agreed to collaborate in the areas of academics, faculty exchange, and research practices, thereby fostering knowledge sharing and institutional development. The ceremony was conducted under the esteemed chairmanship of the Vice Chancellors of both universities—Prof. (Dr.) Rattan Singh and Prof. (Dr.) Milind D. Dandekar.

From JGND PSOU, the MoU was formally signed by Dr. Baljit Singh Khehra, Dr. K.S. Dhindsa, Controller of Examinations, and Dr. Karan Sukhija, Director, Planning & Development Division. From MPBOU, the MoU was signed by Dr. Sushil Manderia along with concerned officials.

The session was effectively moderated by Nidhi Rawal Gautam, Senior Consultant, CIQA, MPBOU. The formal vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Amitoj Singh, Associate Dean (Academic Affairs), JGND PSOU. Among others present were Dr. Kuldeep Walia (Director, CIQA), Dr. Sulakshana (Associate Dean, Student Welfare), Dr. Shefali Bedi (Head, Department of Sociology), and Dr. Gagandeep Singh (Deputy Controller of Examinations).

The MoU is expected to open new avenues for academic excellence, collaborative research, and capacity building for both institutions.
