Himachal Governor remains on touring spree; remains as active as CM

Bandaru Dattatraya, Governor Himachal Pradesh seems to be a passionate about travelling. He become governor of Himachal Pradesh after remaining Member Parliament, Union Minister in the BJP led government. He took oath as the hill state governor in the month of September 2019.
After resuming charge he traveled across state.Tough he holds a constitutional post but he likes to meet the people. Just for reference sake, in the last one week he visited daily at different places in the state as chief guest, as visitor. As per state public relations department, on December 12 “the Governor spoke at a conference organised by Sunil Upadhaya Educational Trust on the theme of ‘Bharat Ki Parikalpana: Nashamukt Sanskaryukth Yuva’ at Gaiety Theatre Shimla where he urges youth to make Himachal drug free.
On same day he visited the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), Shimla and interacted with the military officials stationed there. He also visited the Waste Paper Recycle Plant (WPRP) set up by Army at Summerhill. Later he also visited the Vocational Training Center of the Army where he was made aware of various training courses like computer, sewing-weaving, cooking, beautician etc.
On December 13, he presides over Annual Day Function of Baddi International School at Baddi in Solan district, where he urged the students to develop the spirit of patriotism and pride for the glorious cultural heritage of the country which was known across the world for its rich civilization.
On the same day he interacted with the members of Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Industries Association (BBNIA) at Baddi and expressed happiness that BBNIA is the largest industrial chamber of the State representing industries in BBN area and representing small medium enterprises as well as large scale industries including multi-national companies.
On December 14, he inaugurates district level Red Cross fair in Bilaspur where he appreciated the efforts of District Red Cross Society for conducting various events throughout the year and conveyed his best wishes for the success of the fair.
Later he visited ACC Cement Plant at Barmana in Bilaspur district, DAV Sr. Secondary School (ACC Barmana), Koldam Hydro Power Station of NTPC and power house of the unit.
On December, 15 he visited Indian Institute of Technology at Kamand in Mandi District. He interacted with Deans, faculty members and coordinators of Centre besides students. He also visited Centre for Design and Fabrication of Electronic Services Lab.
Later he inaugurates Red Cross fair in Sundernagar, in Mandi district. The Governor inaugurated exhibition stalls put up by various government departments and NGOs.
On December 16, Governor Bandaru Dattatraya visited the Retreat building, official residence of President of India at Chharabra in Shimla district.
On December 17, Governor Bandaru Dattatraya met Himachal Pradesh State Sainik Welfare Board (HPSSWB) Officers and its Members and discussed various issues related to Ex-Service men.
