Sidhu may get powerful ministry from CM’s quota

With the invitation given by Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh to fire brand Punjab politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, for today’s lunch on meeting, the roads are cleared for sidhu to be inducted into the Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab cabinet.
Speculations are high that Sidhu is going to be adjusted in the coming days, in the Punjab cabinet. As per insiders, “Capt Amarinder may give some important ministries from his own quota. At present CM holds some of the major departments like agriculture, home affairs, vigilance, excise & taxation, information & public relations, science, technology & environment, personnel, civil aviation, investment promotion, power, Punjab energy development agency along with others. He will give important portfolios to Sidhu but won’t appoint him as his deputy, as resentment will grow within his party colleagues, if Sidhu is appointed as deputy chief minister.”
Another political pundit said” Sidhu’s old department local bodies is looked after by senior congress Brahm Mohindra. CM won’t change him as the municipal elections are round the corner. Another key department Health is looked after by Balbir Singh sidhu, who has done well in this covid pandemic. Another key department cooperation department is looked after by CM’s close aide sukhjinder Singh Randhawa. So, CM will give some important portfolio from his own quota and manages the situation.’

Earlier Navjot Singh Sidhu held the all important local bodies’ ministry. After the parliamentary elections in 2019, Novjot Sidhu divested from the local bodies ministry charge and handed over the Power department by the CM. Sidhu left the cabinet in retaliation. Since then, he didn’t attend any function, Vidhan sabha session, election campaign.
After Harish Rawat taking the reins of Punjab congress, he met Sidhu , heard his grievances and convince both Sidhu and CM for a ptachup, for the sake of the party. So, Sidhu may get powerful ministry from CM’s quota
