Patiala-Mudra Society, Thapar Institute of Engineering Technology, Patiala collaboration with the Kala kritti Patiala (Regd.), Punjabi Play “Yeh Zindagi” staged at TIET  Auditorium, (Thapar University), Patiala.  The play based on Chitra Mudgill’s Famous Hindi  Novel, “Gilli Guddu” and it was written and directed by Noted Theatre Director, Actress and short Film  Director Parminderpal Kaur.  Attempts were made to focus on the aspects of how a senior citizen of a particular class neeeds to go through difficulties while living in the family in every family of the society.

Parminder Pal Kaur’s latest dramatic tour-de-force ‘Yeh Zindgi’  is a soul-stirring play poignantly depicting the unspeakable agony, humiliation and shame suffered by senior citizens in the so-called civilized society of the 21st century.

In the play Er. Jaswant Singh and Col. Swamy, are representative of  millions of their unfortunate brethren who are condemned to lead miserable lives because of the apathy, indifference and cruelty of their own children.  The play is a powerful indictment of contemporary society which in its quest for mad, materialistic success and prestige, is biding adieu to time honoured values and human relations that have sustained the grand edifice of humanity for centuries.
